The Big Buddha

Today we went to see the Big Buddha, on Lantau Island.  To get to Lantau Island we went on a ferry, unluckily we missed the first ferry, so we had to wait for the next one to come.

When we got to Lantau island we got on a bus, which took us to the bottom of the big Buddha.  The big Buddha looked HUGE.

We climber up two hundred and sixty-six steps to get really close to the Buddha.  The Buddha was large, but very detailed.

After we climbed down the two hundred and sixty-six steps we went to a gift shop, and a temple.

On the way back we went in a cable car, and a subway train.  The view from the cable car was really cool.

Going to the Big Buddha was a lot of fun, and so was going inside the temple.

    Dear Melany,
    The Big Buddha looked amazing and it must have taken ages to get to the top.
    The view must have been great and it must have taken a long time to build.
