The African Reserve

On the 14th of October Dad, uncle Angus, my cousins, Jasmin and I were going to the African Reserve.
At the African Reserve we saw impalas, water buffalos, big antilope with long horns, ostriches, zebra, giraffe, kudu, wilderbeest, bears, lions, rhinos, springbok, African long horn cattle.  Goats, elephants, guinea pigs, monkey, gorillas, snakes, tortoises, flamingos, birds, crocodiles and camels.

We drove around in our car for some of the time. (You weren't allowed to walk with the lions!)  When we were in our car the ostrichs pecked at our car!

The African Reserve was fun and it reminded Dad of the time when he was in Africa.

  1. It looks a lot more natural than a zoo, but I don't suppose the lions were allowed to eat the other animals. Perhaps the really fierce beasts were in a separate enclosure.

  2. That looks like so much fun, Mel! What are kudu and impalas? I'm kind of glad that you weren't allowed to walk with the tigers. I wouldn't want you back in pieces!

  3. It looks like you and your family are having so much fun. What part of the world are you in? Is it still France? Maree (from your Dads work)
