I am getting home tomorrow. I am leaving L.A. today. Our flight is about 10 to 12 hours long!
I have had a lot of fun and excitement on this trip, I can't choose a favourite city, they were all so much fun. My favourite thing in each city was:
Auckland - Auckland Zoo
Hong Kong - The Big Buddha
York - Alnwick Castle
London - Foyles or The Lion King
Madrid - Reina Sofia Museum or The Silver Man
Paris - The Eiffel Tower
L.A. - Disneyland
Nelson is quite a lot quieter than every where else I've been to on my trip (except Carcassonne, maybe).
I'm quite excited about coming home and seeing all my friends, even though this trip has been a lot of fun.
Thanks every one for reading my blog and posting such great comments on it!

I'm looking forward to seeing you again, Mel. I'm sort of glad tat I'm not you because I always get really nervous when I think about going to school again, and then I think, what's the point of having holidays if I just get worked up about going back to school? But school is really fun, and we've got so many big day outs or party things that I can't remember them all!

I'm looking forward to seeing you again too, Mel. I'm sure you've had a wonderful trip - I'm sure because we have had such great postings to read about all your adventures! thank you for taking the time to keep us all informed about your travels.
ReplyDeleteOur lives back here in Nelson may not be quite as exciting but there is still plenty going on this term, so get ready for 6 or 7 weeks of school again!
I'm extremely proud of the way you've kept up this blog, Mel. It's easy to start off with good intentions and then get tired of it and let it peter out. I have looked for it eagerly every day and you never let us down. If you missed a day or two, you then made up for it with several entries.
ReplyDeleteYou are a seasoned traveller now and will look around you with different eyes, being able to compare. I'm pretty proud of the way your parents planned the whole thing and made it so much fun for you. It seems there were not TOO many museums...
WELCOME HOME.
