Canal du Midi

The Canal du Midi is an enginerring marvel built in the 17th century.
The Canal du Midi goes from the Atalantic Ocean to the Meditterainian Sea.

The Canal du Midi goes through a tunnel in a hill.

We went in an old barge along some of the Canal du Midi.

The Canal du Midi is about two hundred kilometers long.

I liked the Canal du Midi, I especially liked going on the old barge.

  1. Yes, I can imagine how you enjoyed going on the barge, as it was a means of transport you hadn't been on before. Canals were built before railways had been invented, as a good way of getting stuff from A to B. Often there were horses walking along a tow path beside the canal, pulling the barges, but I presume yours wasn't pulled that way. Or there would have been a photo of the horse. But you may have noticed a path alongside.

Soon you'll be heading home. Bon voyage.

    Au revoir.
